LEARN Fast All About EVERYTHING You Need To
Know About Snowboarding For Beginners And About Beginner Snowboards!
Getting Started<-----> So you wanna learn about beginner snowboards and how to snowboard ? ...xoxoxoxoxo... COOL...VERY VERY COOL
This one decision could change your whole life and the path you are on....It could be one of the best decisions you will ever make!!!!!!!!!! Go For It!!! Do It Today !!!
Now how to start??? My Advice is to...
# 1...Get yourself to the nearest snowboard resort and go take a lesson... Try to find a place that has the beginner snowboards rental and the lesson as a package deal...You will save yourself a lot of time, hassle and money......especially $MONEY$... OK...GO AHEAD... ASK ME... Why lessons???
#2... First off you get to try a few beginner snowboards that you don't need to buy and you get to see if this is really something you wanna do and pursue.......before you spend a ton of cash GO GET A LESSON OR TWO NOW!!
#3... IF after your first day you like boarding, get another lesson and try some different beginner snowboards.....The idea is to try as many different types of beginner snowboards and gear as possible.............Ask your instructor WHAT IS the best type of gear for your area and your new skill level......!!!! He or she may be able to recommend some good beginner snowboards for you to DEMO!!
#4... Some advantages of getting lessons is your school will help you decide whether you are Regular or Goofy foot..Regular foot means you will ride with your left foot forward, goofy foot means you will ride with your right foot forward...You can try this DIY technique to decide which foot you will use as the forward foot...
Try this to determine your stance...
With your socks on run and try to slide on any smooth floor surface... Try it a couple times and note which foot you slide with forward.....
Whichever foot you use to slide forward thats the foot you wanna use as your forward foot when boarding. The snowboarding school can also hook you up with the best stance angles... Most beginners want to have their front foot angled toes pointing slightly forward at 5 to 10 degrees...back foot usually at zero degrees....
Ask your rental /school to set you up and explain how the stance angles on your bindings work. On beginner snowboards its easy to change the binding angles... Once you can board a bit try different angles and see what fits your style and what kind of boarding you plan to do...
#5.... Learn about different types of snowboards and riding styles Heres some good info.... There are four general kinds of snowboarding styles and hence four kinds of snowboards....
Freestyle Snowboards....
Mainly used for tricks, jumps, terrain parks and pipes.....My skate friends are into this kinda of riding... Most beginner snowboards are designed for this style of riding, as they have a softer flex and are easier to turn and manuever at slower speeds. Slide over to the SNOWBOARDS section to see all the latest boards that are available by category.
Check out the section on beginner snowboard packages to see some snowboard package deals available online... SNOWBOARD PACKAGES
Freeride Snowboards....
A general style that includes cruising, riding powder, some jumps over natural stuff and just cruising all over the mountain in lots of different snow conditions.....Usually at speeds a little bit higher than freestylers...Some beginner snowboards are made for this kind of style ,but I think it's better and faster to learn on a freestyle board and then try a freeride board later once you got the basics down. Freeride boards tend to be a bit stiffer and wider at the waist than beginner snowboards and are made to ride well in all conditions at higher speeds than freestyle boards.....a free ride board is a good idea for your second or third board if you decide thats your kind of riding...
Jump into the SNOWBOARDS section to see all the latest boards that are available by category.
Freecarve/Racing Snowboards.... This type of riding is for you...Yah YOU...all of you people who have the need for speed! In my area there are a bunch of snowboarders that are into HIGH SPEED carving on groomed runs or racing slalom or downhill courses. These boards are very stiff and narrow...Usually the boots are styled like ski boots. The boots are usually very stiff and rigid to give riders a sensitive feel for the snowboards edge as they ride on the rail or edge 90% of the time...The bindings are designed to transfer the sensitive feeling and edge control from the riders feet and boots to the boards rails...This is specialized equipment for a specialized type of riding....
I WANNA MAKE IT CLEAR RIGHT NOW...THIS STYLE IS NOT FOR BEGINNER SNOWBOARDERS...
These are not beginner snowboards or gear... I do not know alot about this type of board and equipment and being the snowboarding-master also means I know my limitations...
My advice is to do a Google search...Then you can track down up to date and knowledgable info on this type of snowboarding...
Backcountry and Powder snowboards.... Usually backcountry riders are looking to score untracked powder in steeper, more radical and uncrowded places....This type of riding REQUIRES lots of knowledge and also has lots of special equipment that is a NECESSITY... You should get lots of experience inbounds and experience riding in powder and every other type of snow conditions before you EVEN THINK about going backcountry.....If you want to learn what it takes knowledge wise and what equipment you need!
